Born and raised in Canada, Betty Lou Hebert is 78 years old and has written poetry since a young girl. She started submitting for publication in 1984 and to date has a over 5,000 poems published.  They can be read in various magazines, books and on the internet.
 
Betty Lou also has two chapbooks published and a historical romance novel, Heritage of Hawk Hill.

Betty Lou and her youngest son live in the country east of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, near a national forest. They enjoy their surroundings and the wildlife that they encounter.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading and writing. She also likes to travel, do craft work, cook, and spend time with the rest of her family, an older son and daughter and their families. Betty Lou is a ham radio operator and her call sign is W7EHE,  although she is not very active anymore.
